Facultad de Ciencias Medicas
Kinesiology is a completely natural health care system which uses gentle muscle testing to evaluate the many functions of the body. This unique technique allows the treatment of imbalance within the body which could otherwise accumulate and result in poor health.
Kinesiology assesses and treats the body, the mind and its energy to identify imbalance.
The imbalance we identify enables us to respond precisely in our treatment. Using massage, nutrition, and acupuncture contact points, Kinesiology can help with, physical ailments, emotions and anxieties, energy blocks, dietary intake, and nutritional deficiencies.
Kinesiology balances the whole person enhancing health, vitality and well-being.
What is Systematic kinesiology? (kin-easy-ology)
Systematic Kinesiology is a way of identifying any imbalances a person has by monitoring their ability to hold their muscles against light pressure.
Systematic Kinesiology uses principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It connects the physical, muscles, with delicate energy meridians. Each meridian has an energetic connection with an organ, gland or system. Kinesiology can by using muscle testing, evaluate not only muscle balance but also meridian energy and overall body function.
Each muscle is related to an organ, and also to an energy pathway called a meridian. Together the muscle, organ and meridian form a circuit. . If there are chemical, emotional, structural or energetic stresses affecting the 'circuit', the muscle tested will feel 'spongy', indicating an imbalance.
Once an imbalance is found the Kinesiologist uses the muscle test again to get feedback from the person's body about what factors are aggravating the imbalance, and what will help to rebalance it. Treatment may include nutritional supplements, emotional stress release techniques, flower remedies, acupressure, gentle structural realignment, chakra balancing, light touch, firm reflex massage, suggested lifestyle changes and more.
What is a treatment like?
I will first take a medical and lifestyle history, so that I can discuss
any relevant health issues at the beginning of a treatment. You can remain
fully clothed in a treatment session. Once the treatment begins, I will place
your arms, legs or head into specific positions to practice single muscle
tests. I will apply a light pressure on the instruction 'hold' and you will try
to match my pressure and resist the movement.
The quality of response to this pressure will determine whether or not there is an imbalance in the muscle-organ-meridian circuit (if the muscle locks in place or gives way).
These tests will help me to establish information and feedback from your body about its condition and devise an appropriate treatment plan. Treatment techniques may include:

These tests will help me to establish information and feedback from your body about its condition and devise an appropriate treatment plan. Treatment techniques may include:
- massage on body reflex points to stimulate lymphatic flow
- light touch on reflex points on the head to stimulate the system
- stimulation of meridian energy on and off the body
- nutritional support
- emotional balancing by activating reflexes on the head
- specific movements and exercises for improving coordination
In addition it could involve various emotional stress release
techniques, Bach Flower remedies, acupressure, gentle structural realignment,
chakra balancing, suggested lifestyle changes and more. The exact treatment you
receive depends on the feedback your body gives through the muscle test about
what it needs to return to health.
A treatment will usually last one hour, though the first treatment is
scheduled for 1hr30 to allow time for a full consultation.
